New month and new beginnings.  Things are falling into random piles of goodness.

Falling...

all i smell these days is fall.

it's everywhere and it makes me nostalgic.  It makes me weepy.  It makes me want to wrap myself in large wool blankets, to muffle the noise of breaking branches and the echoes of spring.

I have to wear sweaters and socks again.  While biking at night I am haunted by old faces under the lamp light.  Memories fluttering free from between the bare branches.  They sound like twinkling stars.  

The wind is stronger. meaner.  stealing our direction.  stealing our warmth.

I buy a toque.

Clean up.

it is time to spend a while cleaning up some of these sketches.  i love this part almost as much as the sketching.  going back to muck around.  i like the mud mid spring.
