The Goods

Me and the Booh in Fields.

(summer memories buzzing about)

Just learning all the ins and outs of this flickr business, i love how simple it is to use...very straight forward.

Summer seems to be wrapping itself up, as the days are noticeably shorter, and suddenly there are no more house guests. It was so nice having a handful of our friends from abroad visiting, especially since i did not really have the means to travel all about this summer, so instead we brought the travellers to us...hee hee.

Tuesday morning was a riot, first day back to school for so many, I was giggling on my bus ride to work, over the hilarious "what did you do this summer" stories, and listening to the girls and boys comment on how:
"Danny, didn't change at all, he is still H.O.T"
"I am so not ready to go to class, I am like going to be totally sleeping through Mr. Roberts lecture this morning"
"Can I bum a smoke when we get off the bus?"
and the greatest
"Oh my god, you can't wear your quilt with those shoes!"
The conversations were almost better than my Elvis biography, which is a mighty wee bit depressing a la moment...I am knee deep into the seventies...woooweee.

I have been discovering the lovely world of embrodeiry, notions and sculpy these days, will post some pics a little later, my new work is much more labour intensive, but I am having the greatest time working on it.

The monster factory, is also plugging away at twelve, yes twelve new monster designs. Our big october launch is approaching and I can barely stand the wait, though there sure is a mighty mound of work to get done between now and then. Yikes.

Lastly but not leastly, my dear friend Jennifer Silk is having a show at the Swoon Gallery at 63 Ossington St. It is all textile based work, I can't wait to see it. The opening is this friday, I shall post the invite when it bubbles my way.
