Kazy's Badminton Tournament
Saturday morning I trucked off to the George Brown Campus at Jarvis and King to check out my brother's badminton tournament. My brother plays varsity badminton, and he loves it, and he loves to talk the talk, so I came to see if he could actually walk the walk...and it turns out he is one damn good player! I was really blown away by all of the serious badminton skills being demonstrated that day...it was awesome. I was the total uber fan as well, I took a Sharpy to my shirt that morning and wrote "Kaz is BADminton" (you can sort of see it in the pics).
I got to meet my brothers good friend Lauren, and she totally ruled the school. We laughed it up on the sidelines while waiting for Kazy's game to start.
Pops also came for the day. We snuck out for lunch to grab some deeeelicious Betando's panzerotti's, which is essentially deep fried cheese and sauce...a once a year kind of thing. The last panzerotti i had was with meena (secret kisses to you my sweets), and that was definitely over a year ago...but yikes they are the best panzerotti's that i have ever had in Toronto.
the only ridiculous thing that happened that day was when I first arrived at the gym, and Kaz was about to introduce me to his team-mates, when one of them yelled out:
"hey are you Kazy's mom?"
Ummm...what the!
I went so flush!
And then Kaz was like:
"no dude this is my sister"
Ouch
Ouch
Ouch.
There is really no way out of this situation other than laughter, and then later lots of vitamin e cream.
